Academic Fair 2009

As a homeschooling family its fun to have the opportunity for the kids to get to show other people some of the projects they have worked on over the last few months. Here are the kids with their projects. Thanks to my friend Julie who not only took these photos but also organized the entire Academic fair!

Here is Baylor with his research on Leonardo da Vinci. He decided to build a "webbed glove", one of the many new ideas sketched by da Vinci during his lifetime.

Alexandra was the driving force for us to enter this fair. She decided to build a medieval castle - mostly on her own - complete with a drawbridge, a portcullis, and catapult.

Ben put together a display of one of our science projects where we dissected a flower to learn about its parts and then built one out of clay.
